GOP's Trop-NET system
The Trop-NET system has been developed at the Geodetic Observatory Pecny (GOP, RIGTC) and its aim is to facilitate near real-time troposphere monitoring using ground-based GNSS data. It is based on the (Bernese GNSS Software) and additional perl libraries providing a self-reliant, highly efficient and robust strategy for data processing completed with a system for data and products downloading and uploading.
The Trop-NET system is also designed for an easy and open sharing in support of future co-operated developments or a coordination of GNSS-based tropospheric product updates. The Trop-NET partners are:
- GOP - Geodetic Observatory Pecny (Czech Republic)
- AUT - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece)
- KTU - Karadeniz Technical University in Trabzon (Turkey)
- BEU - Bulent Ecevit University in Zolgundak (Turkey)
- MUT - Military University of Technology in Warsaw (Poland)
- CSU - Central South University in Changsha (China)
- IMO - Icelandic Meteorological Office (Iceland)
- NIE - National Institute for Earth Physics (Romania)
- SUG - Sofia University GNSS Analysis Center (Bulgaria)
Application conditions
The main goal of the system dissemination is in contributing to the well-established community in the domain of GNSS-meteorology - E-GVAP:
- to contribute with operational ZTDs to E-GVAP and copy ZTD products to GOP for the Trop-NET monitoring (Trop-NET menu)
- to share specific improvements or developments with other Trop-NET partners (using the GOP SVN repository)
- to keep contributions to E-GVAP synchronized with other Trop-NET partners in order to guarantee a homogeneous processing strategy and used model
- to give a proper credit to GOP and recognized contributions from other Trop-NET partners
